Freedom City Gardens, LLC (FCG) is part of the new and local urban agriculture movement. We are a modern micro-farm growing exclusively USDA Certified Naturally Grown Produce. Located on the Williams Farm site near downtown Athens, GA, just behind the Five-Acre Woods at Northside Drive, we are part of the Athens Land Trust. FCG’s mission is to offer the highest quality of fresh and nutritious home-grown veggies, flowers, and herbs – the ones that we love to eat – at a reasonable and affordable price. We exclusively grow our produce on sustainable no-till raised beds continually monitored by the University of Georgia (UGA) Extension for a well-balance in nutrition and texture. We feature our produce, flowers, and herbs online and at weekly farmer’s markets and make regular donations to local food banks and soup kitchens. We have received accolades for the consistently high quality of our abundant produce! And, to ensure the highest quality of food safety standards, we use an on-site covered wash/pack facility with a walk-in cooler.
